Dr. David Cole

Interim President | CAO | Dean of Jack W. Hayford School of Graduate Studies


Dr. David Cole currently serves The King’s University in the role of interim president. He also continues in his responsibilities as dean of the Jack W. Hayford School of Graduate Studies and director of the Doctor of Ministry program, and serves TKU as a faculty member in the areas of history and theology.

Prior to arriving at TKU with his family in 2014, Dr. Cole has spent over 25 years in Christian higher education, serving in a variety of faculty and administrative leadership roles, including a decade as a college president.  He also has spent over 30 years in credentialed ministry, serving in youth, associate and senior pastor assignments, as well as in denominational leadership roles.  Dr. Cole also has spent over twenty years serving the Body of Christ in interdenominational leadership efforts, focusing on unity and reconciliation between Christians at theological and practical levels.

Dr. Cole has earned four degrees, including a PhD in theology from Fuller Theological Seminary.  His publications include a number of articles and contributions to book publications in areas related to Pentecostal studies, Christian unity, history and theology.  He and his wife Julie have been married for 35 years, and are blessed to enjoy life with a son, three daughters, three sons-in-law and four amazing grandchildren.
